The Laboratoire International Associ\u00e9 Coss&Vita<\/em> was established by the laboratories of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Francilienne de M\u00e9canique, Mat\u00e9riaux, Structures et Proc\u00e9d\u00e9s<\/a> (F2M) and of the International Research Center for the Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems <\/a> (M&MoCS). The main research topic selected to promote cooperation within Coss&Vita is entitled:<\/p>\n

Generalized continua and their applications to engineering materials and structures<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective of the LIA Coss&Vita is to promote new developments and applications and to strengthen the expertise in the field of generalized continuum mechanics. Specifically, the aim of the LIA is to bring the attention of the Paris\u2013Rome mechanics community on the growing interest in this field in order to stimulate real breakthroughs by taking advantage of the Paris\u2013Rome expertise in homogenization theory, statics and dynamics of heterogeneous media, multiphysics coupling, full\u2013field measurement techniques and available computational mechanical methods.<\/p>\n

Since 2015, Coss&Vita has been receiving support from both the esteemed municipality of Arpino<\/a> and the prestigious Hotel il Cavalier d’Arpino<\/a>.
