Signing of the agreement for creating the French-Italian LIA Coss&Vita

Result of a long French-Italian collaboration betwen the Fédération Francilienne de Mécanique Matériaux (F2M) and the International Research Center for the Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems of University of L’Aquila (M&MOCS) in Italy, the new Associate International Laboratory – LIA Coss&Vita (for Cosserat and Levi-Civita) – aims to develop research on metamaterials and studying the opportunities they offer in terms of application by reinvesting the fundamental areas of the continuum mechanics widespread in the theoretical, experimental and numerical areas .
The Rector of University of L’Aquila, Professor Paola Inverardi, the Director of the Center M&MoCS, Professor Angelo Luongo and the Italian Coordinator of the LIA, Professor Francesco dell’Isola were present toghether with the other partners of the LIA:
– The director of human resources of ENSAM, Xavier Château ; the French head of the LIA Coss&Vita, Samuel Forest (Mines ParisTech); the french co-responsible of the LIA Coss&Vita, Arthur Lebee (Ponts ParisTech), as well as, Patrick Nedellec, Direction Europe of Research and International Cooperation (DERCI); Jean-Yves Marzin, Director INSIS; Yves Remond, directeur adjoint scientifique at INSIS and Ahmed Benallal, advisor to Yves Rémond.
