Bilateral French-Italian Workshop
Going down to the microscale in multiphysics problems
From seismic driven risks to petroleum geomechanics
Arpino, Italy, 4-6 May 2015
The workshop is organised by the International Research Center on Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems (M&MoCS) of the University of L’Aquila (Italy) in collaboration with the GDR MeGe, French Research Network in Multi-Physics and Multi-scale Couplings in Geo-Environmental Mechanics.
This workshop proposes to gather a part of the Italy/French community contributing actively in the field of Multiscale approach in multiphysics problems, in order to make an updated synthesis of the most recent developments. Beyond fundamental contributions, a particular attention will be given to engineering applications, from seismic engineering (involving soil liquefaction and bifurcation processes in a multiphysics context) to petroleum geomechanics.
The workshop will be held in the historical city of Arpino, 100 kilometers south east of Rome, in Italy.
